Cindy Blackman Santana (Santana & Lenny Kravitz) sits down with DrumHeads and Tales

Cindy Blackman Santana leads her own band, is a member of band Santana and performed with Lenny Kravitz for a number of years. Her bio reads, Cindy is a virtuoso drummer whose artistry spans the realms of jazz and rock. As a bandleader and as a musician, Cindy is a sound innovator with a passion for pushing creative boundaries and exploring movement and change. I was lucky enough to get a few minutes to speak with her when she performed with Santana in August 2023.
